We are Parsons Land and Cattle. Colton started this company after leaving the military with the goal of one day being a full time farmer. His wife, Shelly, is a veterinarian who is along for the ride and runs the behind the scenes business. We believe that a strong rural community is the backbone of America. Growing up in southeastern Pennsylvania, we watched our rural community transform from a tight nit farming community into housing developments. As first generation farmers, we knew we would not be able to have a successful farm business doing things the “traditional way”.
We raise 100% grass fed and finished beef -- back to the roots of how cows evolved. Our cows are outside 365 days a year using techniques that have shown to improve the health of the land, animals, and people. We think about this generation but also those that will come after us. Our cattle graze on our pastures and in the winter when necessary are supplemented with hay grown by our neighbors. We do not feed grains of any sort, use pesticides or chemical fertilizers, and we do not use hormones, wormers, or antibiotics in any of the cattle we sell.
We were fortunate enough to purchase our forever farm in June of 2024. At that time it was strictly bare land with no home. With grit and determination forged from eight years in Navel Special Warfare, Colton moved up to the property, living in a tent and building our home with the help of some very good friends. We are blessed to be the care takers of our picturesque 140 acre farm and are doing our best to improve the landscape for the benefit of our animals, as well as our local wildlife.
Our standard is to have maximum integrity throughout every phase of our operation in order to do the best we can for our animals, our environment, and our customers. We are a farm that welcomes guests and want individuals to have full confidence in what they are purchasing. We are a first generation farm that hopes to inspire others to know where their food comes from, eat locally, get involved, and maybe develop more farmers.
Thank you for your interest in our farm!
